A former American Town called Orenco - Celebrating 100 years!

Over 100 years ago, the area of 9 blocks named "Orenco" was actually a Town site, planned and platted by the owners of Oregon Nursery Company - ORENCO.

We are celebrating 100 years of heritage left by Oregon Nursery Company, to help with the celebration; we would like your help to nominate the Orenco Elm Mature Street Trees to the Oregon Heritage Tree Program.

If you would like to participate and help to nominate Orenco Elm trees, please contact us.

The website will give you more information on Orenco History, Oregon Heritage Tree Nomination, Survey prepared with help of Oregon Department of Forestry, benefits of trees, amongst other information. We invite you to explore and learn as we are learning about the area we live and respect.

Our congratulations to Orenco that has thrive the years and still remain with some sense of history, so, let’s unite to allow Orenco the deserved status of Historic Significance to the State of Oregon, without the need of major changes, but at least let’s guarantee the historic status deserved for the trees that still remain as a sign of respect to the Oregon Nursery Company Heritage.
